Our mission
modeverdi was inspired by Bay Garnett, at her kitchen table, talking about how hard it is to shop secondhand. If the Queen of Secondhand found it hard, then how must other people feel? So we decided to fix it.
Bay is a style pioneer. She made certain secondhand pieces incredibly sought after. But not all secondhand is created equal. And stylists have a knack of knowing the difference.
As Contributing Editor at British Vogue, she broke the mould when she styled Kate Moss in a vintage top she found in a lower east side thrift store. Vogue had never featured models in anything other than this season. Next Phoebe Philo borrowed the top, and that season's Chloe runway was all banana print. Lily Allen still talks about the effect that had on her (and owns one of those tops!).
Inspired by Bay, we believe all women should have access to a stylist to advise, source and help them shine.
Because women have a lot on their plates. A lot. And not only are those plates full, they're spinning. We refuse to let your style be compromised, and we hate the idea of you wasting time scrolling. So, just like you have a cleaner, a dog walker, a therapist, and a trainer, we want to make having a stylist more accessible.
